چکیده

مقدمه: سرطان یکی از شایع ترین بیماری ها در جهان است. در جهان یک مرگ از هر 8 مرگ به دلیل سرطان رخ می دهد. سرطان سومین عامل مرگ در ایران است. سرطان کولون چهارمین علت مرگ در جهان می باشد و سالانه 2/1 میلیون نفر مبتلا به این سرطان تشیخص داده می شوند.
روش‌ها: روش گردآوری اطلاعات از طریق مقالات مروری و اورجینال بوده است.
یافته‌ها: حدود 8 درصد از کل مرگ و میرها مربوط به سرطان کولون می باشد.
نتیجه ­گیری: سرطان کولون در ایران در طی سه دهه اخیر افزایش چشم گیری داشته است و طبق گزارش سالیانه موسسه ثبت ملی سرطان ایران، در حال حاضر از لحاظ شیوع دومین سرطان رایج در ایران می باشد شیوع سرطان کولون در ایران 8 نفر از هر 100000 نفر می باشد. تخمین زده می شود که  هر سال در کشور 3641 مورد جدید سرطان اتفاق می افتد و سالانه 2262 نفر در اثر سرطان کولون جان خود را از دست می دهند.شیوع این سرطان در جمعیت ایرانی 22 درصد می باشد.
