چکیده
مقدمه: اختلال تمپوروماندیبولار (TMD) یکی از شایع ترین اختلالات فک وجود دارد که به عنوان عامل اصلی دردهای صورتی با منشاء غیر دندانی محسوب می شود. TMD دارای علایم مختلفی است که هنوز شناخته شده نیستند. مورفولوژی اجزای مفصل گیجگاهی فکی (TMJ) به عنوان یک عامل اتیولوژیک TMD بحث شده است. این پارامترها شامل موقعیت کندیل در فضای مفصلی، زاویه افقی کندیلی، شیب ، عرض و ارتفاع برجسته مفصلی می باشند. رابطه احتمالی بین مورفولوژی TMJ و بروز TMDدر این مطالعه بررسی می شود.
مواد و روش ها: جستجوی رایانه از 5 پایگاه داده های الکترونیکی شامل ، Medline، Scopus، Web of Sciences و Google Scholar از ژانویه1980 تا ژوئن 2018 انجام شد. "اختلال مفصل گیجگاهی فکی"، "مفصل گیجگاهی فکی" و "مورفولوژی" به عنوان عبارت کلیدی استفاده گردید.
یافته ها: از میان 102 مقاله یافت شده 59مقاله با توجه به عدم ارتباط با موضوع، حذف شدند. بنابراین، 43 مقاله مرتبط که با تمام معیارهای انتخاب شده منطبق بودند، در بررسی گنجانده شدند.
نتیجه گیری: بیشتر مطالعات انتخاب شده در این بررسی نشان دادتد که مورفولوژی TMJ نقش مهمی در پاتوژنز TMD دارد. بنابراین، تنوع مورفولوژیک تنوع مفصل باید به عنوان یک عنصر مهم در پاتوژنز TMD در نظر گرفته شود.
