Abstract

Introduction: Given that an organization’s most valuable asset is its creative workforce as a competitive advantage, this study aimed to examine the relationship between employees’ individual creativity and both organizational culture and managers’ leadership styles in selected hospitals of Yazd during 2023.
Methods: This study employed a descriptive cross-sectional design with a correlational approach. The study population included administrative staff, nurses, and general practitioners who worked at selected hospitals in Yazd (Iran). Using stratified random sampling, 278 participants were recruited. Data were collected through three validated questionnaires assessing leadership styles, individual creativity, and organizational culture. Data analysis was performed using regression analysis in SPSS software (version 25).
Results: The mean organizational culture score was 51.70±15.33, while individual creativity averaged 45.56±5.50. Notably, 60.8% of participants demonstrated moderate creativity levels. Transformational leadership was identified as the predominant style. Positive correlations were observed between leadership style and both individual creativity and organizational culture. A statistically significant positive correlation was identified between leadership style, individual creativity, and organizational culture. Furthermore, organizational culture scores positively predicted individual creativity (P<0.001), suggesting a potential mediating relationship.
Conclusion: The study established significant relationships between leadership styles, employees’ individual creativity, and organizational culture. Consequently, by implementing effective leadership styles, organizational managers could foster employee growth and innovation, enhance their performance, and ultimately improve organizational productivity and healthcare service quality.
