چکیده
مقدمه: عقربگزیدگی یکی از معضلات بهداشتی بسیاری از کشورهای گرمسیری و در حال توسعه است. در ایران خصوصاً در مناطق جنوب کشور عقربگزیدگی از مهمترین مسائل بهداشتی محسوب میگردد؛ به طوری که استان خوزستان از جمله مهمترین کانونهای عقربگزیدگی در کشور محسوب میشود. این مطالعه جهت تعیین ویژگیهای اپیدمیولوژیک افراد گزیده شده توسط عقرب در منطقه هفت گل استان خوزستان صورت پذیرفت.مواد و روش: این مطالعه از نوع مقطعی است و به بررسی دادههای موجود در پروندههای بیماران مراجعهکننده به مرکز بهداشت شهرستان هفت گل استان خوزستان طی دو سال 90 و 91 پرداخته است. به این ترتیب که اطلاعات مربوط به هر بیمار از پرونده استخراج و در چک لیستی که بدین منظور آماده شده بود وارد شد. اطلاعات وارد نرمافزارSPSS نسخه 19شد و سپس با استفاده از روشهای آمار توصیفی و آزمونهای کای اسکوئر و فیشر تجزیه و تحلیل گردید.یافتهها: از بین 459 بیمار مورد بررسی 4/48% در سال 1390 و 6/51% در سال 1391 اتفاق افتاده بود و نسبت جنسی 52% مرد و 48% زن بودند، میانگین سن افراد مذکر 06/17±62/29و افراد مؤنث 4/17±02/32 سال بود. بیشترین و کمترین درصد گزش به ترتیب متعلق به گروه سنی 29-20 ساله و 69-60 ساله بود، 7/39 درصد گزشها در دستها، 6/38 درصد در پاها، 1/5 درصد در سر و گردن و 5/16 درصد در ناحیه تنه اتفاق افتاده بود. بیشترین شیوع عقربگزیدگی از ماه خرداد تا شهریور گزارش شد. بیشترین تعداد بیماران مورد مطالعه، در مناطق شهری سکونت داشتند. بیشترین شغل در بین عقرب گزیدهها بین خانهدارها بوده است و از لحاظ نوع عقرب،4/52% عقرب زرد، 1/32% سیاه و 5/15% نامشخص بوده است.بحث و نتیجهگیری: بر اساس یافتهها، مردان بیشتر از زنان، گروه سنی جوان، دست و پاها و ساکنین مناطق شهری به ویژه در ماهای گرم سال با فراوانی نسبی بیشتر در معرض خطر گزش قرار دارند. لذا توصیه میشود آموزشهای لازم به خانوادهها به خصوص ساکنین مناطق شهری در زمینه رعایت ایمنی و استفاده از پوشش مناسب هنگام راه رفتن داده شود.

An Epidemiological Study on Scorpion Stings in Khuzestan Province (Haft Gel region), 2011-2012

Background: Scorpion stings are one of the major health problems in many tropical and developing countries. In Iran, especially the southern regions of the country, scorpion sting is one of the most important health issues; such a way that Khuzestan province is one of the most important foci of scorpion sting. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the epidemiological characteristics of the individuals bitten by scorpions in Haft gel region, Khuzestan province.
Methods: This cross-sectional study aimed at reviewing the medical records of the patients referring to the health center of Haft gel region, Khuzestan province within 2011-2012. The information about the study patients was extracted from their records and was entered into a checklist. Then, the data were entered into the SPSS statistical software (v. 19) and analyzed using descriptive statistics, chi-square, and Fisher’s exact test.
Results: Among the 459 cases, 48.4% and 51.6% were related to 2011 and 2012, respectively. Besides, 52% of the cases were male and 48% were female. The mean age of the male and female patients was 29.62±17.06 and 32.02±17.4 years, respectively. The highest and lowest percentages of bites were related to 20-29 and 60-69 year old age groups, respectively. In addition, 39.7%, 38.6%, 5.1%, and 16.5% of the bites were related to hands, feet, head and neck, and trunk, respectively. Moreover, the highest prevalence of scorpion stings was reported from June to September. The majority of the patients lived in urban areas and was homemaker. Furthermore, the case was caused by yellow, black, and uncertain scorpions in 52.4%, 32.1%, and 15.5% of the patients, respectively.
Conclusion: Based on the findings, males more than females, younger age groups, hands and feet, and urban areas were at a higher risk of scorpion stings, especially in warm months. Therefore, families, particularly those living in urban areas, should be trained regarding safety and proper use of cover when walking.
