Assisted reproductive techniques have played an important role in treatment of infertility during the past three decades. One of these methods is surrogacy, which has caused many challenges in relationships and personal lives of those involved. This study aimed to investigate the attitude of infertile women towards surrogacy and its probable challenges. Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted on 160 infertile women referring to Shahid Motahari clinic in Shiraz selected through convenience sampling. The study data were collected using a 20-item questionnaire that assessed infertile women’s challenges and concerns about surrogacy. Finally, the data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical software, version 14. Results: The results showed that 72.5% of the infertile women had negative attitudes and the rest had positive attitudes towards surrogacy. Indeed, the women’s main concerns about using this method were incompatibility with culture and religion, child’s potential problems, surrogate mother’s probable abuse, threats to relationship with one’s husband, and decreased sense of belonging to the child. Conclusion: The study results showed that nearly two thirds of the women had negative attitudes towards surrogacy. The main concerns included incompatibility with culture and religion, child’s potential problems, surrogate mother’s probable abuse, threats to relationship with one’s husband, and decreased sense of belonging to the child. Therefore, educational workshops are recommended to be held to improve women’s attitudes towards this issue.}, keywords = {Alternative uterus,Infertility clinic,Infertile women,Ethical challenges}, title_fa = {بررسی نگرش زنان نابارور مراجعه کننده به درمانگاه های ناباروری نسبت به رحم جایگزین در دانشگاه علوم پزشکی شیراز}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: نازایی یکی از مسائل مهم مرتبط با بهداشت باروری است که می‌تواند مشکلات زیادی در زندگی یک خانواده ایجاد کند. روش‌های کمک باروری از سه دهه گذشته تاکنون، نقش مهمی در درمان ناباروری داشته است. یکی از این روش‌ها، روش رحم جایگزین است. استفاده از این روش، چالش‌های بسیاری در زندگی فردی و ارتباطی افرادی که به نحوی در آن درگیر می‌شوند، به وجود آورده است که در این مطالعه نگرش زنان نابارور نسبت به رحم جایگزین و چالش‌های احتمالی آن مورد بررسی قرار گرفت.مواد و روش: این مطالعه از نوع توصیفی-تحلیلی بود که در زنان نابارور مراجعه کننده به درمانگاه شهید مطهری شیراز انجام شد. نمونه‌گیری به روش دردسترس روی 160 نفر از زنان انجام شد. جهت جمع آوری داده ها از یک پرسشنامه 20 سؤالی که نگرش زنان نابارور و چالش‌ها و نگرانی‌های آنها را نسبت به رحم جایگزین بررسی می‌کرد، استفاده شد. داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS  نسخه 14مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت.یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که 5/73 درصد از زنان نابارور نسبت به رحم جایگزین، نگرش منفی و مابقی نگرش مثبت داشتند. همچنین مهمترین نگرانی‌های زنان نابارور نسبت به رحم جایگزین عبارتند از: مغایرت این روش با فرهنگ و مذهب، مشکلات احتمالی کودک، سوء استفاده از مادر جانشین، تهدید رابطه با همسر و کاهش احساس تعلق به کودک.بحث و نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد که نزدیک به دو سوم زنان نگرش منفی به رحم جایگزین داشتند. به علاوه مغایرت این روش با فرهنگ و مذهب، مشکلات احتمالی کودک، سوء استفاده از مادر جانشین، تهدید رابطه با همسر و کاهش احساس تعلق به کودک از مهمترین نگرانی‌ها بود. لذا برگزاری کارگاه‌های آموزشی جهت بهبود نگرش زنان در این زمینه پیشنهاد می‌شود.}, keywords_fa = {رحم جایگزین,درمانگاه ناباروری,زنان نابارور,چالش‌های اخلاقی}, url = {https://smsj.sums.ac.ir/article_43927.html}, eprint = {https://smsj.sums.ac.ir/article_43927_13b015710fcb8779b12230fb1782559e.pdf} }
